Teach Your Kids to Blog

If your child is like many others, they love reading and creating blogs.  Now you can show them how to make money with their blog.  Your child doesn't have a blog yet?  That's ok, you can get them up and blogging in no time.  Before you know it, they'll be vying for computer time with you.

Have you shown your kids how to blog yet?  If not, use the words blog and money in one sentence and they‚Äôll be begging for you to teach them how to use this fabulous system to earn a few bucks.  Here are some ideas to teach your kids to blog, and make money at the same time.

While blogs have been used as diaries, comments about famous people, or just a way for kids to be able to use their ‚Äúvoice‚Äù to talk about any subject, there are other ways in which a blog can help your kids to earn money.  In fact, you can even teach your preteens how to blog and start their own little niche in the world of business.

The blog can be based around their hobby or favorite sport.  For example, if your daughter loves horses, she can start a blog about horses.  On the blog she can talk about caring for horses, tips for people just starting to ride, and share her experiences with horses.

A good way to monetize this blog would be to include affiliate links to horsing supply stores.  Just about every large store has an affiliate program, you sign up for a related program, place a link on your blog and every time someone purchases something through your affiliate link you will earn a commission.

Google AdSense is another great monetizing method for blogs.  It‚Äôs free to sign up for a Google account and you can get started in minutes.  Every time someone clicks on one of these ads you will earn a certain amount per click.  The amount varies, and you should warn your child never to click on the ads themselves or have friends click on them, as this will cause Google to shut your account down.

As you can see, blogs are a great way for kids to get started online.  They can talk about their favorite things and make money.  It‚Äôs a win/win situation.
